Forward SMS is a versatile Android app that seamlessly forwards text to emails, phone numbers, URLs/APIs, or Telegram. It also forwards phone alerts like missed calls, outgoing calls, shutdown/turn-on events, and low battery alerts. Additionally, it offers auto and remote replies for efficient message management.

Here are the most commonly faced issues and their solutions.

Forwarded message says "sensitive notification content hidden"

This issue appears on Android 13 and above because of the Enhanced Notifications feature. The feature improves the experience with AI-powered, context-aware actions, such as suggested quick replies and relevant app actions (for example, opening maps or tracking numbers), directly in the notification.

However, it can interfere with SMS forwarding: it may mark the forwarded message as sensitive content and hide the content in the notification.

To fix this, turn off the Enhanced Notifications option for the Forward SMS app:

  1. Open your phone settings

    Go to your phone settings.

  2. Go to Notifications

    Navigate to Notifications.

  3. Turn off Enhanced Notifications

    Turn off the Enhanced Notifications option.
